CASHRM is an organization for human resource professionals representing approximately 400 members from the greater Charlotte region. Our satellite group, the Rowan County Human Resources Association (RCHRA), includes human resource professionals from the greater Salisbury area.  SMA Charlotte™ is a special interest group of CASHRM, and serves as a networking and resource group for staffing and employment issues, trends and solutions.  CASHRM also provides website and event registration support for LakeNormanHR, a new SHRM chapter for HR professionals in the Lake Norman area.  CASHRM also sponsors SHRM student HR chapters at University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Winthrop University.  We are a local chapter (#0065) affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management.

October 5: CASHRM Member Engagement Experience


Please join us at CPCC Harris Campus at 8:00 am for our fall Member Engagement Experience.

Whether you just joined or have been a member for years, this time together will prove to be an enlightening experience.   If you are new to CASHRM, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the exciting benefits of being connected.  If you have been involved for years and need a crash refresher course of the Chapter, please come on out!   Attendees will also be able to participate in an engaging Networking opportunity with other HR professionals, participate in ‘ASK CASHRM’ and meet some of our local board members. October 9: CASHRM Dinner and Program

Join us at the Crowne Plaza from 5:30 to 7:30 for a panel discussion on When Domestic Violence affects the Workplace. In observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month we are bringing a panel of experts to you.  We will hear from a licensed professional counselor, a safety and security consultant, and an employment law attorney. As a result of this program, participants should be more aware of the signs and symptoms of domestic abuse, the signs, symptoms and precursors to some incidents of workplace violence, what resources are available to you as an employer and to your employees, when to step in, what you can say or recommend and where is that not so bright line you don’t want to cross.  Please come with questions for our knowledgeable panel.  To register, click here.

October 10: CASHRM and E4 Carolina

A Panel of experts will outline what technologies and economics are driving change and discuss what this means to HR and Organization Development in utilities. November 13: CASHRM Breakfast and Program


Join us at the Crowne Plaza from 7:30 - 10:00 am for a Mock Trail. Experience what it’s like to be part of an intriguing EEOC case that unfolds before your eyes.  Whether you are a participant or an audience member, you will be witness to the inner workings of an actual EEOC case, weigh the evidence and decide for yourself whether or not your agree with the court.  Attendees will gain a better understanding of what it takes to bring a claim to trial and the challenges faced by Human Resources and the employer while navigating an this encompassing endeavor.To register for this event, click here.

SAVE THE DATE notices for upcoming 2017 events have now been posted to the website calendar.  All SAVE THE DATE calendar entries can be downloaded to your calendar and will "convert" to meeting registration links whenever registration is open for an event.  As a reminder, registration for a specific event typically opens up approximately 30 days before the event date.  Please check back here and on the e-blast notices for event specifics. 

Registrations, Walk-Ins, Cancellations and No-Shows:

All members, sponsors and guests for Charlotte Area SHRM , Rowan County HRA and SMA Charlotte™ events are responsible for registering for events prior to the event date in order to guarantee an accurate headcount for logistics setup and food and beverage planning purposes.  Failure to register or cancel for an event can subject the chapter to unnecessary charges and expenditures.  We have previously provided updates in recent e-blasts that explain the policies and procedures for registration, cancellation, walk-ins  and no-shows.  Click HERE for a copy of the complete chapter policy.
