      Membership Information

Chapter membership is conferred upon an individual and not the individual’s employer or sponsoring organization. An individual membership is neither transferable nor assignable.  Once approved, it belongs to the member for as long as the membership is current and in good standing.

For more information, please contact Kisha Boyd-Clyburn, Vice President of Membership & Retention, via email at Kisha.BoydClyburn@cpcc.edu.

Membership Dues:

  • Professional Member (National SHRM Member): $150
  • Professional Member (NOT a National SHRM Member): $200
  • Associate Member: $250
  • Students: If you are a full time undergraduate student enrolled in a HR-related field of study and not a CASHRM member, you may be eligible to attend meetings as a discounted rate. If you qualify and are interested, please contact Andrea Campbell for more information. Please note that CASHRM provides complimentary attendance for members of CASHRM sponsored SHRM student chapters.

Refer to the FAQs and detailed descriptions below.

Membership FAQs:

  • CASHRM dues instead provide all membership benefits for twelve (12) calendar months from date of payment. Dues are inclusive of meal and beverage service at regularly scheduled monthly meetings.

  • If a member's dues expire at the end of the 12-month period, (s)he will be deactivated from the membership list and web site access until dues are paid in full. Members so deactivated may be subject to a re-activation fee for re-instatement to CASHRM membership.

  • The CASHRM Board may designate sponsored events/seminars for the benefit of the membership and in addition to or in conjunction with monthly meetings – e.g. mid-year legal update, mock trial, etc. The Board will set a reasonable participation fee for such events/seminars (with separate rates for members and guests) as may be appropriate to cover the expenses for such events. In addition, the Board may elect to contribute any proceeds of any special event/seminar to the annual SHRM Foundation fund drive or any other charitable purpose.
